We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join our Business Engagement & Partnerships department in our Newcastle office. This role offers a fantastic chance to raise awareness of the Northern Skills brand across Tyne and Wear, Durham, and Northumberland while becoming an integral part of our thriving academic community.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Business Development Executive, you will:
- Conduct high-volume outbound telesales calls to employers across the region to promote apprenticeships, boot camps, and bespoke training solutions.
- Develop and execute a localised marketing plan to promote Northern Skills and its services across Tyne and Wear, Durham, and Northumberland.
- Build and maintain relationships with key contacts in schools, local careers services, and referral agencies to support employer engagement.
- Actively monitor, update, and maintain CRM systems to ensure accurate tracking of employer interactions and lead progression.
- Work closely with the wider apprenticeships and training teams to ensure a seamless handover of qualified leads.
- Demonstrate a commitment to our Equality and Diversity policy, quality frameworks, and health and safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek candidates who:
- Have a Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English, or an equivalent qualification.
- Possess experience in marketing, promotions, or sales-related roles.
- Are committed to undertaking any mandatory training relevant to the role.
- Have knowledge of apprenticeships and employer engagement strategies (desirable).
- Have experience in education recruitment (desirable).
- Hold a full, up-to-date driving licence, with the ability to travel across Tyne and Wear, Durham, and Middlesbrough if required.
