The Role

Middlesbrough College is seeking an enthusiastic Student Services Assistant to deliver high-quality support our enrolment and admissions activities, helping prospective and current students access the information, guidance and support they need to begin their college journey successfully.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome students, parents, carers and visitors to the college in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide clear directions and guidance to enrolment areas and college facilities.
  • Answer general enquiries and signpost visitors to the appropriate departments or members of staff.
  • Manage queues and support the smooth flow of students throughout the enrolment process.
  • Assist with maintaining an organised, safe and welcoming reception and waiting area.

Qualifications

  • Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • A commitment to undertake any mandatory training relevant to the role.

Experience

  • Experience of dealing with a wide range of people.
  • Experience in working within a busy environment.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential issues.
  • Good IT skills.
