​As part of Middlesbrough College’s safer recruitment process, all shortlisted candidates are required to complete the Self Declaration Form – Suitability to Work with Children and Young People prior to attending their interview.

This form is a vital part of our safeguarding procedures and must be completed by all applicants, including those who do not have a criminal record. It enables us to have an open and transparent conversation during the interview stage and ensures compliance with statutory guidance outlined in keeping children safe in education.
