Reporting to: Associate Director of Apprenticeships

Salary: Up to £20,535 per annum

Annual Leave: 30 days per annum plus bank holidays (pro rata)

Contractual hours: 22.2 hour per week

Basis: Part time, Permanent

Pension: NEST Pension

We’re looking for a dedicated Assessor to join our team and play a vital role in guiding learners through their training journey. What You’ll Be Doing:

As an Electrical Assessor (Training Advisor) you will:

  • Plan, conduct and participate in induction and initial assessment of learners to identify realistic learning priorities and, in liaison with the employer, develop individual learning plans and agree realistic completion targets.  This will include ensuring that employers have a full understanding of the requirement for Apprentices to complete off the job training.
  • Develop, manage and maintain good relationships with external partners, local employers and appropriate agencies to recruit learners.
  • Provide information, advice and guidance to learners and employers to promote learning and timely achievement of the agreed learning aims and SMART objectives.
  • Assess knowledge, skills and behaviours, and the delivery and assessment of Functional Skills and competencies within the NVQ programme.
  • Maintain a minimum caseload of learners.  Assist them to achieve NVQ qualifications and the Apprenticeship Standard, and prepare them for End Point Assessment.
  • Develop business with existing employers and identifying new opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

We seek candidates who:

  • Level 3 Electrical Installation – Essential
  • Qualified Electrician - Essential
  • English and Maths GCSE grade C or above- or equivalent – Essential
  • TAQA or A1 assessor qualification, or willing to work towards- Desirable
  • Teaching qualification, or willing to work towards – Desirable.
  • Award in Internal Verification or V1, or willing to work towards - Desirable.
  • Must hold a current driving licence
