In this unique role, you’ll not only oversee a bustling commercial kitchen and front-of-house environment, but also play a key part in mentoring and training our Catering students. What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Head Chef, you will:

• Co-ordinate rotas and duties for students when working in the production kitchen and restaurant to ensure restaurant opening hours and special events are appropriately covered and maximised.
• Ensure that food preparation is economical, technically correct, within budget and presented to the highest possible standard to customers.
• Seek to develop catering opportunities external to the college to develop further reputation and grow student numbers.
• Contribute towards the planning of ‘Industry Week’ activities to ensure CH students are stretched and challenged.
• Network effectively to provide guest speakers throughout the academic year to inspire students on their study programme.

What We’re Looking For:

We seek candidates who:

• Level 3 Catering Qualification.
• GCSEs at Level 4/Grade C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent.
• To be a qualified Teacher or willing to work towards. - Desirable
• Managing food safety.
• A commitment to undertake any mandatory training relevant to the role.
