Job Title: Lecturer Travel and Aviation Lecturer
Location: Middlesbrough College Main Campus, TS2 1AD
Department: Sports Travel & Public Services
Reporting to: Associate Director Sports Travel & Public Service
Salary: £29,565 - £43,562 per annum
Annual Leave: 45 days per annum plus bank holidays
Contractual hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks
Basis: 12 months fixed Term
Pension: Teachers Pension Scheme

We are seeking dynamic and dedicated individuals to join our teaching team in Travel and Aviation. Whether you come from a Further Education or Higher Education background, or directly from the industry with teaching qualifications, we welcome your application.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Lecturer in Travel and Aviation you will:
- Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of all students.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of all students.
- Employ a variety of teaching techniques and resources consistent with best practices, specific content knowledge, the physical limitations of the space provided, and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Plan and deliver a suitable Assessment Programme ensuring marked work meets Middlesbrough College Gold Standards.
- Implement Middlesbrough College’s Core Values through the Gold Standard of Teaching and Learning.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by Middlesbrough College and any statutory regulators including but not limited to Awarding Bodies, Funding Bodies and / or Government Departments.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek candidates who:
- Hold a minimum Level 3 Childcare and Early Years qualification or a relevant Degree, and GCSEs in English and Maths.
- Are qualified teachers; or are willing to work towards the qualification*
- Up to date expertise and / or experience of teaching in Travel and Aviation
- Awareness of emerging trends and challenges in Travel and Aviation that may impact on curriculum delivery.
- Current knowledge and / or experience of career opportunities in Travel and Aviation for 16 – 18 and 19+ learners.
