Location: Middlesbrough College Main Campus, TS2 1AD

Reporting to: Assoc. Dir of Bus. Dev & Stakeholders

Annual Leave: 30 days per annum plus bank holidays

Contractual hours: 37 hours per week

Basis: Full time, Fixed Term for 12 months

Are you passionate about helping people unlock new career opportunities through training and development? We’re looking for a Training and Engagement Officer to join our team and play a key role in connecting individuals with transformative bootcamp programmes.

In this role, you’ll be the main point of contact for candidate referrals and responsible for tracking key milestones throughout their learning journey. Your proactive, people-first approach will ensure adult learners receive the support, guidance, and resources they need to succeed.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Training Engagement Officer, you will:

  • Actively market and promote Adult & Community Learning through social media platforms and at all external events.
  • Support the business with candidates who are looking to complete a Skills bootcamp.
  • Liaise with candidates to get them enrolled on to Skills bootcamps and collect milestones at the end of the bootcamp.
  • Consult with all referral agencies so that they are aware of what the College is offering. This would include attending any relevant network meetings.
  • Facilitate Information Advice Guidance awareness sessions at the College/Community Hubs/Job Centre Plus for all referrals to support fellow Training engagement officers.
  • Be involved with the learners through Information Advice Guidance, enrolment, and induction to support fellow training engagement officers.
  • Be proactive in contacting all learners that did not attend and liaising with agencies in providing feedback on attendance to support fellow training engagement officers.
  • Support fellow training engagement officers to ensure that the minimum referral targets for training courses are consistently achieved
  • Prepare weekly updates/reports so that they can be fed into the College system to assist with decision making on future activity with specified groups.
  • Ensure CRM system is kept fully up to date.

What We’re Looking For:

We seek candidates who:

  • Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) qualification (Level 2 or above) – desirable.
  • A commitment to undertake any mandatory training relevant to the role.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
