We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an Industry Placement Coordinator Assessor in Childcare to join our Childcare & Education department. You will contribute to the development and review of work placement opportunities while overseeing the organisation, coordination, assessment, and monitoring of learners throughout their placements. As a key member of our team, you will play an integral part in supporting students and enriching our thriving academic community.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As an Industry Placement Coordinator Assessor, you will:
- Be responsible for organising, coordinating, assessing, and monitoring learners during their placements.
- Liaise with the Work Experience & Industry Placement Team Leader to explore and develop placement opportunities.
- Ensure that all placement providers comply with health and safety regulations, conducting appropriate risk assessments to accommodate specific learner requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of placement providers, recording available opportunities and evaluating their performance in relation to health, safety, and effective supervision through review procedures or other means.
- Meet with students prior to their placements to discuss their needs and the college’s expectations.
- Continuously maintain, review, develop, and expand work placement opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek candidates who:
- Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Health & Care (essential).
- Have GCSEs at grade 4/C or above in Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications.
- Demonstrate a commitment to completing all mandatory training required for the role.
- Possess Assessor and/or Verifier awards.
- Hold a relevant Health & Safety qualification (desirable).
- Show a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
