We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Examination Assistant to join our team and support the smooth running of examination processes. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in an educational or administrative setting. The successful candidate will assist with exam preparation, invigilation, and post-exam procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining a calm, supportive environment for students.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Junior Examination Assistant, you will:

  • Support the maintenance and update of internal and external registration, certification, and examinations.
  • Collaborate with the Exams Assistant and liaise with Directorate staff to ensure all data, registrations, and achievements are correctly recorded on the College’s Data Management System.
  • Contribute to the preparation of examination stationery, creation of seating plans, and updating of timetables with exam information.
  • Participate in collating, checking, and dispatching completed examination papers in line with awarding organisation regulations.
  • Provide guidance to the invigilation team regarding examination queries and the invigilation of exams.
  • Ensure all online and paper-based examinations comply with awarding body regulations.
  • Support the Exams Manager with data checking and cleansing.

What We’re Looking For:

We seek candidates who

  • Grade C/ 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Business Administration Level 3 (or working towards)
  • Good IT skills.
  • Good communication skills and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of education.
  • Calm and efficient manner.
  • Reliable, flexible, and punctual.
  • Work on your own initiative, be proactive and able to prioritise tasks.
