Salary: Technical Trainer Salary Scale from Pt 5 – Pt 16 £29,565 - £42,868 per annum
Annual Leave: 30 days per annum plus bank holidays
Contractual hours: 37 hours
Basis: Full time

We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Technical Trainer to support a caseload of learners through their training journey, including full Apprenticeship standards. In this role, you’ll contribute to the design and delivery of engaging learning programmes and assessments, helping participants achieve their qualifications. You’ll work closely with employers and play a vital role in inspiring learners, supporting them to overcome barriers, and reach their full potential.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Technical Trainer - Electrical Installation, you will:
Plan, conduct and participate in induction and initial assessment of learners to identify realistic learning priorities and, in liaison with the employer, develop individual learning plans and agree realistic completion targets. This will include ensuring that employers have a full understanding of the requirement for Apprentices to complete off the job training.
Develop, deliver and manage added value Electrical Installation workshop activity.
Develop, manage and maintain good relationships with external partners, local employers and appropriate agencies to recruit learners.
Provide information, advice and guidance to learners and employers to promote learning and timely achievement of the agreed learning aims and SMART objectives.
Assess knowledge, skills and behaviours, and the delivery and assessment of Apprenticeship Standards and competencies against NVQ programmes where required.
Maintain a minimum caseload of learners. Assist them to qualifications and the Apprenticeship Standard and prepare them for End Point Assessment.

We seek candidates who:
- Level 3 Electro tech qualification or similar/equivalent – Essential
- Qualified Electrician - Essential
- English and Maths GCSE grade C or above or equivalent – Essential
- TAQA or A1 assessor qualification, or willing to work towards- Desirable
- Teaching qualification, or willing to work towards – Desirable.
- Award in Internal Verification or V1, or willing to work towards - Desirable.
