An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in AAT to join our NSG Professional Skills team. This is a fantastic chance to inspire and develop the next generation of Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) professionals while contributing to a dynamic and thriving academic community.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Lecturer in AAT, you will:
Deliver and manage high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment in Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)
Provide hands-on and theoretical instruction in specific areas, e.g., Business and Finance
Support students' academic and personal growth, helping them achieve their full potential.
Develop and implement lesson plans that connect classroom learning to real-world applications.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and address the needs of all students.
Support student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression, providing guidance and tailored support.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek candidates who:
- Hold a level 3 AAT qualification or above - Essential
- Are a qualified Teacher or willing to work towards**
- Have GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent.
- Possess relevant professional experience in the field of accounting or finance, with a focus on AAT qualifications - Essential
- Have up-to-date knowledge and/or experience of teaching in one or more areas of AAT - Desirable.
- Understand current challenges and opportunities within the accounting sector that may influence curriculum development.
- Are familiar with potential career pathways in the accounting and finance industry.

*The Lecturer Salary Scale is from Pt 5 – Pt 16. The salary progression criteria beyond point 11 of the Lecturer scale will be based on you achieving and maintaining, on an annual basis, the Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) & QTS. To progress beyond point 14 of the Lecturer salary scale, you will be expected to achieve and maintain the Advanced Teacher Status (ATS).
