An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in AAT to join our NSG Professional Skills team. This is a fantastic chance to inspire and develop the next generation of Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) professionals while contributing to a dynamic and thriving academic community.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

As a Lecturer in AAT, you will:

• Deliver and manage high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment in Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)

• Provide hands-on and theoretical instruction in specific areas, e.g., Business and Finance

• Support students' academic and personal growth, helping them achieve their full potential.

• Develop and implement lesson plans that connect classroom learning to real-world applications.

• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and address the needs of all students.

• Support student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression, providing guidance and tailored support.

What We’re Looking For: 

We seek candidates who:

• Hold a level 3 AAT qualification or above - Essential
• Are a qualified Teacher or willing to work towards**  
• Have GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent.
• Possess relevant professional experience in the field of accounting or finance, with a focus on AAT qualifications - Essential 
• Have up-to-date knowledge and/or experience of teaching in one or more areas of AAT - Desirable. 
• Understand current challenges and opportunities within the accounting sector that may influence curriculum development. 
• Are familiar with potential career pathways in the accounting and finance industry.

*The Lecturer Salary Scale is from Pt 5 – Pt 16. The salary progression criteria beyond point 11 of the Lecturer scale will be based on you achieving and maintaining, on an annual basis, the Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) & QTS.  To progress beyond point 14 of the Lecturer salary scale, you will be expected to achieve and maintain the Advanced Teacher Status (ATS).
