We’re excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a committed Personal Development Lead to join our Health & Social Care department. This pivotal role involves managing and implementing strategies within the faculty to ensure learners benefit from a high-quality experience in developing their personal growth, behaviours, and attitudes, while being an integral part of our thriving academic community.

 

What You’ll Be Doing: 

As a Personal Development Lead, you will:

  • Collaborate with the department’s management team to raise standards through the effective and high-quality delivery of the pastoral support system.
  • Implement and manage the College’s Student Disciplinary and Attendance Policies and procedures across the department.
  • Act as the first point of contact as duty manager for the department.
  • Directly line manage and oversee the Attendance Officers, ensuring that student attendance and punctuality monitoring activities are well-coordinated and standardised across the faculty.
  • Line manage the faculty’s administrators, supporting the organisation of parents’ evenings and the production of student report cards.

 

What We’re Looking For: 

We seek candidates who:

  • Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification.
  • Have GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to undertaking any mandatory training relevant to the role.
  • Possess a management qualification (desirable).
  • Have experience in FE management (desirable).
  • Have experience of managing a team (desirable).
  • Have experience in behaviour management and de-escalation (essential).
