Salary: Up to £32,908 per annum (spot salary)
Annual Leave: 30 days per annum plus bank holidays
Contractual hours: 37 hours per week
Basis: Full time, Permanent

Join Our Team
We are looking for a dedicated Assessor to manage a caseload of learners and support them throughout their training journey. In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of learning programmes and assessments, enabling participants to successfully achieve their qualifications, including full Apprenticeship Standards. Working closely with employers, you will play a key part in developing learners, helping them reach their goals, and inspiring them to overcome barriers to success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As an Assessor - Construction in the Built Environment, you will:
- Plan, conduct and participate in induction and initial assessment of learners to identify realistic learning priorities and, in liaison with the employer, develop individual learning plans and agree realistic completion targets. This will include ensuring that employers have a full understanding of the requirement for Apprentices to complete 20% off the job training.
- Develop, manage and maintain good relationships with external partners, local employers and appropriate agencies to recruit learners.
- Provide information, advice and guidance to learners and employers to promote learning and timely achievement of the agreed learning aims and SMART objectives.
- Assessment of knowledge, skills and behaviours of criteria to meet multiple standards within the field of the Built Environment.
- Maintain a minimum caseload of learners. Assist them to achieve NVQ qualifications and the Apprenticeship Standard, and prepare them for End Point Assessment.
- Develop business with existing employers and identifying new opportunities.
- Work in a team to plan and deliver a structured scheme of work and develop lesson plans that meet the learning needs of learners and the delivery and assessment of knowledge, skills and behaviours.
- Support the continued evaluation of learning needs and objectives, through regular review and attendance as required at best practice groups.
- Comply with the contractual standards with emphasis on recruiting participants, managing retention and achievements.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek candidates who:
- Level 3 or equivalent in relevant Built Environment occupational area - Essential
- English and Maths GCSE grade 4/C or above- or equivalent - Essential
- TAQA or A1 assessor qualification, or willing to work towards - Desirable
- Teaching qualification – Desirable
- Award in Internal Verification or V1- Desirable
