Basis: Full time, Permanent

The Role

 

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Facilities Team Leader to join our Estates and Facilities team. In this role, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery of facilities operations across the campus. You will lead a team responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment, including non‑technical maintenance, porterage and logistics, painting and decorating programmes, and supporting the operation of a small vehicle fleet.

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Support the delivery of campus-wide maintenance and facilities operations.
  • Lead and coordinate daily workloads across the facilities team.
  • Ensure timely completion of service requests through the helpdesk system.
  • Oversee safe working practices and compliance with health & safety standards.
  • Manage contractors and monitor quality of completed works.

 

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise 

  • Experience leading a small facilities or estates team.
  • Confident knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, and safe working practices.
  • Ability to carry out site inspections and support operational delivery.
  • Strong communication and customer‑service focus.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility for occasional out‑of‑hours work.
