Basis: Hourly paid

Location : Middlesbrough College Main Campus, TS2 1AD

 

The Role

 

We are looking for an hourly paid  Vocational Learning Coach to provide additional learning support in the Digital curriculum area.  In this role, you will contribute to planning and preparing learning activities while providing tailored support to individuals or small groups to help them fully engage and succeed during their time at College. If you’re passionate about making a meaningful difference to learners and ensuring they have the support they need to thrive, we’d love to hear from you.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide additional learning support for the Digital curriculum area.
  • Work closely with Lecturers and have an input into planning and preparing for lessons.
  • Support high needs learners and encourage learners to develop independent learning and study skills.
  • Attend regular Additional Learning Support Good Practice Forums, Vocational Learning Coach, and ‘At Risk’ meetings, regularly reporting Curriculum developments to the ALS area.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • An appropriate Level 2 qualification or equivalent, in supporting students with learning difficulties/care or the commitment to complete within an agreed timescale.
  • Vocational qualification at Level 2 or commitment to complete within an agreed timescale.
  • Grade 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of/experience in working with students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Demonstrate and evidence vocational experience in relevant subject area.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Effective communicator.
