Join Our Team
We are seeking a dedicated Industry Placement Coordinator Assessor to join our team. Reporting directly to the Work Experience & Industry Placement Team Leader, you will play a key role in shaping learners’ futures by developing and reviewing work placement opportunities. This position involves organising, coordinating, and assessing placements within childcare settings, as well as monitoring learners throughout their experience to ensure quality and success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As an Industry Placement Coordinator Assessor, you will:
- Be responsible under the direction of the Industry Placement Manager for the organising, coordinating, assessing and monitoring learners whilst on placement.
- Liaise with the Industry Placement Manager on placement opportunities.
- Ensure that all placement providers comply with the health and safety regulations and that appropriate risk assessments are carried out for specific learner requirements.
- Keep an up-to-date database of placement providers, and opportunities they can offer, and record their performance, through review procedures or otherwise, regarding health, safety and effective supervision.
- Meet with students prior to their placements and discuss their needs and college’s expectations of students whilst on placement.
- Maintain, review, develop and expand the work placement opportunities.
- Update the staff on new placement opportunities and progress of students whilst on placement.
- Assess the competence demonstrated by students whilst in work placement in line with the criteria set by Awarding body.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek candidates who:
- Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Health & Care is essential.
- GCSEs at grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications).
- Demonstrate commitment to completing all mandatory training required for the role.
- Possession of Assessor and/or Verifier awards.
- A relevant Health & Safety qualification (desirable).
