An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Lecturer in Beauty Therapy to join our Hair & Beauty team. This is a fantastic chance to inspire and shape the next generation of Beauty Therapy professionals while contributing to a vibrant and dynamic academic community. Additional hourly paid hours may also be available.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Lecturer in Beauty Therapy, you will:
- Deliver and manage high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment in Beauty Therapy.
- Provide hands-on and theoretical instruction in specific areas.
- Support students' academic and personal growth, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that connect classroom learning to real-world applications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and address the needs of all students.
- Support student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression, providing guidance and tailored support.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek candidates who:
- Are qualified teachers or willing to work towards this qualification**.
- Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Beauty - Essential.
- Have GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent.
- Are committed to undertaking any mandatory training relevant to the role.
- Demonstrate effective classroom management, excellent time management, and strong communication skills.
- Are proficient in preparing teaching materials using Information Learning Technology.

*The Lecturer Salary Scale is from Pt 5 – Pt 16. The salary progression criteria beyond point 11 of the Lecturer scale will be based on you achieving and maintaining, on an annual basis, the Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or QTS. To progress beyond point 14 of the Lecturer salary scale, you will be expected to achieve and maintain the Advanced Teacher Status (ATS).
