We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Business and Professional Skills to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the next generation of Business professionals while playing a key role in a thriving academic community.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Lecturer in Business and Professional Skills, you will:
- Deliver and oversee high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Provide both practical and theoretical instruction in key areas of Business and Professional Skills.
- Support students' academic and personal development, enabling them to reach their full potential.
- Design and implement lesson plans that effectively link classroom learning to real-world business applications.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and meet the needs of all students.
- Assist with student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression, offering tailored guidance and support.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek candidates who:
- Are a qualified teacher or willing to work towards**.
- Hold a relevant degree qualification or equivalent.
- Have GCSEs at grade 4/C or above in English and Maths, or an equivalent.
- Possess Up-to-date knowledge and/or experience in teaching Business and Accounting.
- Have an awareness of current and emerging issues within the Business sector.
- Demonstrate expertise and/or practical experience in one or more areas of Business and Accounting.

*The Lecturer Salary Scale is from Pt 5 – Pt 16. The salary progression criteria beyond point 11 of the Lecturer scale will be based on you achieving and maintaining, on an annual basis, the Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or QTS. To progress beyond point 14 of the Lecturer salary scale, you will be expected to achieve and maintain the Advanced Teacher Status (ATS).
